Schouwen @ CST:

‘‘We have gotten back to that old San Diego delivery that I’m used to,’’ said Peavy, who won a Cy Young Award with the Padres. ‘‘I did get away from that at the end of ’09 [with the Sox] and the start of last year. I wasn’t as mechanically sound as I have been. I’ve never been a guy that scouts love to watch throw. I spent eight years healthy with those mechanics and doing some good things in the game. That is who I want to be. Got away from that, and some health issues caused me to do that. I think I’m back there.’’

UPDATE: Don Cooper gave a 10-minute interview to Bruce Levine at ‘Talkin’ Baseball’. One of the subjects was Jake Peavy’s return. Coop said Peavy will go through everything the other pitchers do and “all systems go right now’ regarding Peavy (at the 1:35-1:45 point).
