BDD’s Top Prospects Compilation: Update #9

Just as I have done the past few years, I have uploaded and attached the new Top Prospects Compilation file to this blog posting. Prospect rankings from Baseball America, BP’s Kevin Goldstein, and MiLB.com are just some of those that you’ll find in the file.

The Excel workbook contains several tabs at the bottom representing each of the league’s divisions as well as a tab for top 100 lists and the top 20 lists from Baseball America. …

Baseball Musings looks on Mark Buehrle

… Buehrle represents a nice example of a pitcher with a glaring weakness, his low strikeout rate, who is able to compensate by limiting free passes and taking out base runners with GDPs (Andy Pettitte built a fine career the same way). Add to that his durability, and Mark emerges as one of the top pitchers of the decade.
