“If that happens, that’s great for him,” Williams said. “I’ll send him a congratulatory message and, probably, I don’t know how much, we got to pay him for it. I’ll send a check to him and focus on the team.”

CHONE’s projections have a pretty good record.
No games today so let’s see how the Sox prospects are doing:

C.J. Retherford: .250/.328/.367/.695 with 9 Ks and 6 BBs in 60 ABs
Brent Morel: .362/.385/.383/.768 with 6 Ks and 3 BB in 47 ABs
Kyle Bellamy has only 3.2 IP.
Here are the stats as they were on October 25 (Dayan Viciedo was replaced by Brent Morel):

Dayan Viciedo: .333/.350/.556/.906 with 6 Ks and 1 BB in 18 ABs
Danks is slowing down while Morel is heating up after a cold start.
Peoria clinched the AFL West division. They’ll be playing in the Championship game next Saturday.
BTW, you can see how all the Sox prospects are doing in their Winter Ball leagues here:
Here are a couple bright spots:
Clevelan Santeliz (DWL): 1.72 ERA with 19 Ks and 4 BBs in 15.2 IP and a 0.89 WHIP
Ehren Wassermann (MPL): 2.49 ERA with 14 Ks and 4 BBs in 21.2 IP and a 0.97 WHIP
According to multiple reports, the Tigers are looking to cut payroll this off season and could possibly trade OF Curtis Granderson, who will earn $26 million over the next three seasons. The Mets appear to be interested in Granderson, according to reports, along with the Cubs, Angels, White Sox, Red Sox, Yankees, and Orioles. …
I don’t think Detroit will trade within the division, but even if Dombrowski would do it, now we have a CFer for the foreseeable future. Plus, Detroit will want a good return.
