Don’t look for Einsteins in the diamond

Ozzie’s on a roll:

“It seems like every time we face somebody we don’t know, it seems like we have too much information,” Guillen said. “That’s our problem. Some times you just got to go out, swing the bat and let your talent take over. “I don’t see any players so smart,” Guillen said. “If they’re so smart, they won’t be playing baseball. They’ll be working with Bill Gates somewhere. We play baseball for a reason because we can’t do anything else. And that’s why when you start overdoing stuff, you get caught up in what I should do, what pitch I should look for. It should be like, ‘see the ball, swing the ball and hope for the best.’ “You might not know the guy for couple innings, but in six or seven innings, you should have a better idea. We hit a couple ground balls for double plays. When that happens, you’re not going to get too many runs.”
