Phegley signed a contract Thursday in Chicago, with the deal including a signing bonus of $858,600 plus $30,000 to be used for college, according to his father John.

After spending the night in Chicago on Thursday, Josh passed his physical on Friday. During their trip, both Josh and his father were given a tour of U.S. Cellular Field, which included meeting White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen.

  1. What the Tribune Star doesn’t seem to do….one)interview the person whom they are writing the article about. 2)assume they know the information from heresay…very disappointed in the Terre Haute paper, and have been for many years…

I don’t really care for the amount of the bonus. I can take that out.
I’m just glad he’s a member of the White Sox!
