Looking at Mark Buehrle’s B-R page I see after he pitched 51 innings out of the pen in 2000 he shot to 221 in 2001.

Jon Garland is a different story though. 70 innings in 2000 (15 g, 13 gs), 117 ip in 2001, 192 ip in 2002. More progressive.

oh yes, that he did!

I wanted so badly for Ventura/Cooper to take him out after 8. 115 last time and 119 today. I hope and pray they keep him around 100 in the games he pitches the rest of the year. As you say, I hope Coop knows what he’s doing!

A player to consider, Salt Lake Community College OF Dominique Taylor, top notch speed (6.4sec 60), fielding, arm, and consistent plate discipline. In two years at SLCC Taylor had a .385 and .335 BA with 51 and 41 rbi, 20 and 27 SB. A clutch player!

Change up is easier to throw, has more drastic of a speed difference, and is easier on the arm, I believe.
