Couldn’t the Sox call up someone, anyone, from the minors since the bullpen was tired? Dylan Axelrod? Terry Doyle? Brian Omogrosso? Charlie Shirek? Deunte Heath? After 8 innings Sale had thrown 101 pitches. Ventura/Cooper could have take him out then. And he threw 115 pitches last time.
I, also, see the number of sliders increasing. Hmmm….
