The White Sox now employ two of general manager Kenny Williams’ three sons after signing Tyler Williams, whom the Diamondbacks released on July 26 after he went 2-for-24 in 10 games in the Arizona League. Arizona had signed him as a nondrafted free agent from Pima (Ariz.) CC. The White Sox drafted Kenny [Williams] Jr. in the sixth round in ’08 (he plays for Double-A Birmingham) and Kyle [Williams] in the 47th round in ’06 (he did not sign and forged a career in the NFL).

Initially read it as ‘Ted Williams’. 1.2 seconds of extreme, highly irrational excitement followed.
