He then hit safely in 11 of 12 games with an OPS increasing to .727 but injures his thumb. Returning in August he hits safely in 7 of his first 9 games raising his OPS to .780.

I wonder what Teahen’s overall performance would have been without the injury. His best offensive season in KC was playing 3B all season and while not a Gold Glover he was adequate defensively. He may have needed more time to readjust to 3B with the Sox.

Maybe the Sox go with him again at 3B in 2011 and hope for an Alex Rios type of rebound. IF not, then a DH/utility role.
