Brian Anderson update

Anderson has been building his arm strength with the Surprise Royals of the rookie-class Arizona Summer League. Sharp said Anderson, who hasn’t allowed a run in four innings, is throwing his fastball in the low 90s and also features a slider and changeup.

“Once we get through the (soreness) — which we hope will be this week — we’ll start moving him up to different affiliates and see how he progresses,” said Sharp, who expects Anderson to pitch in another game for Surprise either today or Tuesday.
