The White Sox were optimistic that Jake Peavy will be ready for spring training in 2011 following surgery Wednesday to repair a detached latissimus dorsi muscle near his right shoulder.
The surgery revealed a clean avulsion of the tendon off the bone with little or no muscle damage.
