White Sox sign 12th round pick SS Drew ‘Crayton’ Lee

Drew Lee was D.J. Ashwood’s teammate at Morehead State. Both were assigned to Bristol Sox. The others have been covered.

12th round, No. 368 overall: Crayton Lee, shortstop, Morehead State University

Lee hit .412 with 17 homers and 66 RBIs in 50 games. He is a quarterfinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, which is given to the nation’s top shortstop. He is also a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, given annually to the nation’s top collegiate player. He is the first Morehead State player to be drafted since the Sox took Henry Mabee in the 19th round of the 2007 draft. Mabee is at Double-A Birmingham.
