White Sox general manger Kenny Williams is ready to discuss trades…. Many teams have asked White Sox officials if bullpen pieces like closer Bobby Jenks and setup man J.J. Putz are available. Both pitchers have been scouted extensively by the Phillies over the last 30 days.
The one player that has drawn serious interest is closer Bobby Jenks. Not only because of his improvement on the field — eight of his last nine appearances have been scoreless — but there is some economic control. Jenks is arbitration-eligible in 2011 before becoming a free agent in 2012.
