Kenny says he will add pieces if the White Sox improve
Kenny did say he’s be willing to make some additions if the Sox take advantage of a relatively easy June schedule and get back in the race.
UPDATE: Gregor:
“I don’t have a deadline,” Williams said. “I just hope we put together something that resembles a streak of some sort. But I don’t have a date; I don’t have a deadline.
“I still believe in these guys and the ability that they have. We just need to play better and be more consistent.”
Trayce Thompson goes to the DL
OSC:
The Winston-Salem Dash today announced that outfielder Jordan Cheatham has been re-assigned to low-A Kannapolis. He will replace Intimidators outfielder Trayce Thompson, who was placed on the disabled list Monday.
UPDATE: FutureSox:
Trayce Thompson to have surgery on his right thumb, out for a number of weeks.
Joe Cowley says season’s over; but he has a plan!
Cowley says replace Mark Buehrle and Gavin Floyd with Cliff Lee and Daniel Hudson, re-sign Freddy Garcia, trade Bobby Jenks, re-sign J.J. Putz, pickup Matt Thornton’s option, say goodbye to Paul Konerko, A.J. Pierzynski, Carlos Quentin, promote Dayan Viciedo and Tyler Flowers, sign Carl Crawford or Adam Dunn, and sign the one and only Juan Uribe.
I say forget free-agents and the money in the draft and international scouting.
