“At this point, I’ll be honest with you. There’s a lot to do around here.”
Williams was referring to the large number of players in major and minor league camps and that “people have to come to me with Twitter updates and blog updates, websites. I don’t even understand that kind of stuff because I got a lot of stuff on my plate.”
“We’re in spring training,” Williams said Saturday afternoon in his box overlooking home plate at Camelback Ranch. “And I’m in mid-game addressing something that I asked everyone (a) couple weeks ago to spare me – which is the talk of blogs, these radio shows, these Twitters and Web sites and all of that.
“I don’t have time to deal with any of that crap. I care about putting this team together and getting these guys ready to play a championship season. That’s all I care about. The other peripheral things – I don’t have time.”
