Ozzie Guillen on Baseball’s Winter Meetings that start tomorrow at Indianapolis:
… “It’s going to be fun. There are a lot of guys without a job and there aren’t that many big-time free agents out there. I think they already started making moves. I wish the general managers be aggressive and make things happen, make more action. We need action. I hope they do it this winter. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of trades with a lot of different teams. I don’t think about the White Sox but I don’t know. I got the feeling there’s going to be a lot of movement out there.”
and on the Sox who need a leadoff batter and a bullpen arm:
“Right now, there’s no doubt we are looking for a couple of players. Are we going to make any trade? There’s nothing in our mind, but I learn from the past every time I go back home (from the Winter Meetings), they make the trade the next day.”
