Kenny says the Sox won’t risk Peavy’s rehabilitated ankle in their Sept. 3 makeup game at Wrigley Field (NL park) . Peavy will make his 2nd start minor-league on Tuesday wsith Charlotte, and then make one more start in the minors after that. Gregor adds that it looks like Peavy will debut on Aug. 28, at Yankee Stadium. After that Peavy’s next start should be on Sept. 2 in the Sox final game at the Metrodome. Kenny adds he doesn’t want Peavy to rush back, and be sure his ankle is OK when he returns.
UPDATE: Peavy is scheduled to throw 65 pitches tomorrow (Tuesday).
