Freddy Garcia on the fast track

Big-Game Freddy is on the fast track:

“He’s on the move,” pitching coach Don Cooper said. “Freddy is not that far off. “We started a plan with him and you don’t want to rush any plan when it’s near the finish line. He’s not far from being done. I think two-three more will have him ready.” Garcia threw five innings of one-hit, no-run ball Saturday for Bristol in the Rookie League with two strikeouts and no walks. In his first outing [for Kannapolis on Sunday], he gave up two hits in three innings. … Garcia should return before Jake Peavy, meaning he could fill the fifth starter role.
