The word floating around is that 2nd round pick Trayce Thompson is close to signing. Still unsubstantiated rumour at this point though.
UPDATE: Mark Gonzales reports that while MLB’s recommended bonus for Thompson’s slot is $596,700 the Sox seem “willing to make a large and lengthy investment in Thompson.”
