Ozzie expected Colon to be pitching in a rehab assignmenent by now. Maybe he’s not in the team’s 2nd half plans anymore:
“Who can help us the most?” Guillen said of the main factor in determining what happens when Colon is ready. “But in the meanwhile, Colon has to throw more breaking balls and see if he could go back-to-back (starts). Then we will make that decision. Where he’s going to fit? We’ll figure out how we’re going to do it.’’
and Ozzie on Quentin’s rehab:
“But he’s making progress, a lot of progress,” Guillen said. “I just worry about how he’s running. He said he felt a little uncomfortable turning the bases, but this is the beginning of the rehab, and I think everyone sounded optimistic about where he is right now.’’
