Peytra Eileen? That doesn’t sound grindy!

Outfielder Scott Podsednik is expected to rejoin the Sox on Tuesday after his wife, Lisa, gave birth Sunday to a 7-pound girl named Peytra Eileen.

  1. Peytra comes from the name Petra, which is a Greek name meaning rock/stone. It also is derived from the male name Peter (I could make a grinder joke here). But, will leave that to someone else’s imagination. Congrats to Scotty on the birth of his daughter and for proving that his groin is healed!
